Information - Uniforms
We
expect all children to wear clothes and shoes that are appropriate for
school activities. In the interests of safety we do not allow children
to wear any jewellery except studs or sleepers in pierced ears.
Children may wear wrist watches but must accept full responsibility for
them.
From September 2003 School Uniform is required to be worn by all pupils.
Extensive consultation was held following the request from parents to
have a school uniform prior to the introduction. Parents and children
overwhelmingly supported the introduction and it is now seen as a key
feature of the school. The uniform takes the form of a light blue polo
shirt with a navy sweat shirt, grey trousers and black shoes without a
logo. Year 6 children may choose to wear Red Sweat Shirts to indicate
their status within the school. Staff are also encouraged to wear
clothing displaying the school Logo whenever appropriate.
Younger
children do P.E. in their vests and pants but older children will need
a change of shorts and T-shirts or leotards. Most P.E. activities are
done in bare feet but children will need plimsolls or trainers for
outdoor games.
All items of clothing, bags and lunch boxes should be named to prevent anything getting lost. Lost Property is kept in the school office.
Toys,
games, mobile phones and other expensive items are not allowed in
school. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal
property.
